Hello, I’m Heidi! founder of The Embroidered Napkin Company and our sister business, Extra Special Touch, which I started back in 2009.
I’ve loved sewing for as long as I can remember. I first started when I was just five years old, and that love of fabrics, embroidery and beautiful old textiles has stayed with me ever since. I went on to study historical costume for theatre and television at art college, before working in fashion, pattern cutting, embroidery, teaching and eventually as a sales manager for a sewing and embroidery machine company.
When I got married in 2008, I couldn’t resist making lots of the details myself, including embroidered napkins for our wedding tables. Little did I know those napkins would eventually become such a big part of my life! After having my first child, I decided to leave my sales manager role and concentrate on growing my own embroidery business around family life.
What started as a small business making personalised wedding handkerchiefs and Nottingham lace bridal accessories has grown into a busy embroidery studio, with a lovely team and customers all over the world.
As more customers began asking for personalised wedding napkins, monograms and bespoke table linens, The Embroidered Napkin Company was born.

Our collection includes personalised linen napkins, cotton napkins, embroidered cocktail napkins, scalloped and ruffle napkins, alongside velvet and satin bows.
We have 54 linen colours and over 400 embroidery thread colours to choose from, so there’s plenty of scope to create something that works with your wedding colours, event styling or dining room.
We embroider everything from traditional initials and monograms to individual guest names, family crests, wedding logos, venue illustrations, meaningful dates and little personal messages.
And if you have something completely different in mind, we’re always happy to hear your ideas.

From Wedding Tables to Wonderful Events
Over the years, we’ve been lucky enough to create embroidered napkins and bows for some truly beautiful weddings, celebrations and events. We work with couples, wedding planners, event stylists, hotels, restaurants and brands, creating personalised table details for everything from small family dinners to large-scale luxury events.
We also specialise in bespoke embroidery. If you have a wedding crest, monogram, illustration or company logo, we can convert your artwork into an embroidery design and stitch it onto your chosen napkins. We manually digitise our bespoke embroidery designs, carefully considering the stitch detail, thread colours and placement to achieve the best possible result.
And because we don’t have a minimum order quantity, we’re just as happy creating one special napkin as we are making hundreds for a wedding or corporate event.
