People often assume we’re a small Etsy-style busin People often assume we’re a small Etsy-style business working from a spare room. The reality is a little different. I work from a purpose-built studio and design space in Nottingham, where every order begins. Alongside me is a small team of experienced embroiderers who work both from the studio and from their own dedicated workspaces at home – a way of working we’ve continued since Covid and one that gives us the flexibility to balance family life with creating beautiful things. Between us, we operate multiple embroidery machines and have embroidered thousands of napkins, ribbons, bows and handkerchiefs for weddings and events around the world. Our work has appeared at some of the UK’s most beautiful venues, from country house weddings and luxury private estates to international celebrations and brand events. We’ve also been fortunate to see our work featured in leading wedding publications including Vogue, Tatler, @lovemydress and @stylemepretty . We’re still a small business, and every order is made with care, but behind each embroidered napkin is a team, a process and years of experience. For this editorial at Villa Sola Cabiati, every place setting was finished with a custom embroidered black velvet bow, personalised with guests’ initials and designed to complement the romantic floral styling. Watching talented creatives bring a vision like this to life is always a privilege, and seeing our bows amongst those incredible flowers was a real pinch-me moment. Samantha opted for ivory hemstitch napkins with Ladybird moon embroidered in white. “Such a dream styling the Ladybird Breakfast for Blancpain at the National Portrait Gallery, marking 100 years of Marilyn Monroe 🤍 We wanted to make sure that every detail had a meaning, from the ivory hand-painted linen in an original 40s chantilly lace pattern, the decade of Marilyn’s original Blancpain watch to deep red old hollywood tassels on the menu, to match the colour of the gallery walls. Napkins embroidered with the Ladybird moon, menus hand-calligraphed, place cards individually embossed. The watches shown under glass, raised just above the floral eyeline.
