Alfresco Wedding Inspiration With Bespoke Napkins at Askham Hall

Picture this. A beautiful alfresco dining experience, elegant bespoke napkins matched perfectly to the vision, dreamy florals that frothed beautifully on the tables and the picture-perfect Askham Hall that provided a breathtaking backdrop… it couldn’t have been more perfect. Then the British weather said NOT TODAY for this alfresco wedding inspiration. Thankfully, a little rain wasn’t enough to stop a beautiful table…

As much as we dream of sunshine for outdoor weddings and summer celebrations, as we know, we can’t always rely on it. But in true British spirit, we didn’t let that stop us, and you shouldn’t let it ruin your beautiful plans for your wedding day either! Anyway, isn’t there something rather charming about embracing the unpredictability of the British weather? Despite the weather cutting this beautiful alfresco wedding inspiration shoot short, the result was a stunning tablescape full of inspiration for couples planning elegant outdoor celebrations (hopefully with beautiful sunshine, and always with a plan B)

This alfresco vision brought together soft florals, elegant stationery, and layered table styling to create a setting that felt relaxed, romantic and effortless. For the table, we chose our Studio Napkin Collection scalloped-edge napkins in olive. The earthy green tone worked beautifully alongside the natural surroundings, complemented the flowers and was the perfect finishing touch to this intimate tablescape.

What we loved most about this shoot was the balance of luxury details and natural elements. The styling brought the opulence and elegance, while the outdoor setting provided a relaxed style of entertaining. It’s a great reminder that luxury tablescapes don’t have to feel formal.

After having so much beautiful sunshine throughout May, it felt like the right time to celebrate it. It’s the perfect reminder to take the table outdoors, put up the parasol, gather friends and family together, and bring out the good china and the fancy napkins. Come rain or shine, a beautifully dressed table will always win our hearts!
