And this is always one of my favourite parts - seeing something we’ve watched being stitched, one thread at a time, finally in its place on the table. Made for the details. Made for the setting. AI to enhance our product photos… yes or no? As a AI to enhance our product photos… yes or no? As a small business, I don’t have the budget for big styled photoshoots every season, so I’ve been experimenting with AI to help create the setting around our products. The linen cracker is real. The embroidery is real. The velvet bows are real. We made all of that in our Nottingham studio. AI has just helped me style the scene around it. I’m torn… because I love being able to show you how our pieces could look on a beautifully styled table, without the huge cost of a photoshoot. We knew we were making napkins for a beautiful celebration in Scotland with @tartanweddings… but we didn’t realise quite whose celebration they were for. A very special 20-year vow renewal for Jyotika & Suriya. ✨ Lisa from @tartanweddings “As soon as I walked into the castle with the florist Diane a few months back, I knew I wanted to her to create a magical floral garden in the center of the table. I curated the look with linens from 88 events, tableware from Options Great hire, and chairs from Milana event hire . I knew I wanted custom napkins from the embroidered napkin company to finish off the place setting and a wonderful keepsake for all their special guests.” There’s something lovely about our work quietly becoming part of occasions like this, made here in our Nottingham studio, packed up and sent on its way, and sometimes we don’t discover the full story until afterwards. Our team meetings can look a little different arou Our team meetings can look a little different around here… 🪡☕️ Sometimes it’s breakfast at the local pub, sometimes it’s gathered around the table in the studio talking all things sewing. Two of my team work from home, so our regular catch-ups are really important, not just for talking through work, but for actually getting everyone together. We chat about new ideas, products we’d love to create, recent makes, upcoming weddings and events… and usually go off on about twelve different tangents along the way. 😂 When you’re a small team, I think these moments really matter. A chance to step away from the machines, share ideas, make plans and have a proper catch-up. Well… technically yes. 😂 But it’s probably not qu Well… technically yes. 😂 But it’s probably not quite the camera roll you’re imagining. It’s full of thread colours, linen swatches, ribbon shades, embroidery tests, monograms, proofs, half-finished napkins and photos of almost exactly the same gold thread because one is definitely warmer than the other. When you offer 54 napkin colours, 400+ embroidery threads and endless ways to personalise something, apparently your camera roll starts looking less like Pinterest and more like an extremely niche haberdashery.
