Modern Wedding Tablescape for Elopement at The Asylum Chapel

This modern wedding tablescape was featured in The International Wedding Trend Report 2020, and includes embroidered cotton napkins. We choose our Plain Cotton Napkins in Porcelain, and embroidered with a pale peachy pink to compliment the pallette.

We wanted to design a stylish wedding that would inspire creative, non-traditional, innovative couples that are looking to have a unique celebration in the city. The colour palette explored shades of pink, scarlet, orange, and some playful accents in blue framed by crisp black lines colourful, but with a bit of modern edge. We loved the idea of pairing bold block colours with one another, and then adding depth by introducing contrasting mixed-media textures. We used acrylic, wood, neon, tulle, sequins, pearls, and vellum to make the tablescape and ceremony tactile and visual experiences, and complemented them with scents of pink pepper and ripe fruit. We were inspired by the maximalist, bright colour palette trends we’ve been seeing in Australia and wanted to bring a little taste of that to London in a contemporary way.
