Decorating your Easter Tablescape at home with Vanessa Romney

One of the best parts of my job, is to see how our napkins get used, and styled in ‘real life’!
Seeing this beautiful Easter tablescape, styled by Vanessa Romney, is no exception. The combination of our pretty ruffled Easter bunny napkins, vintage embroidered tablecloth and gorgeous vases and decor, makes her tablescape the perfect place to celebrate Easter at home, with family.

Vanessa shares her inspiration and ideas of her Easter at home tablescape…

As with all my tables I start off with a clear vision of what I’d like it to look like in my head and I go from there. I wanted my Easter table to look like a cross between Alice & Wonderlands mad Hatters tea party but grown-up enough to be able to have a gorgeous lunch with friends and family.

As with all my tables, attention to detail is paramount and I carefully look at all the components that go into making the final result. For me it’s about my guests sitting at the table and constantly finding new things to comment on or look at, which they haven’t seen before. Colour texture and of course the flowers make the tablescape so special but above all the quality of the crockery, glassware and linen really are the final touches which make it!

I think it’s really important to mix and match and not necessarily buy everything from one place. My tablecloth for the setting belonged to my great aunt and has been handed down through my family as well as the silver jugs and crystal cut glass ware.

The final touch was truly The Embroidered Napkins Company’s bunny Napkins and pink velvet bows ! The napkins were just what I was looking for to bring my whole table together – really making it feel like Easter ! As for the bows … well no table is complete without them! I love the way they cascade down my plates – so pretty & elegant every time!

I like my settings to be interesting and fun but above all warm and welcoming as well as incredibly personal. So wherever you can make your guests feel special it is so important to do so – whether monogramming bows or linens or having a simple place card with their name or printed out menu. My most recent favourite I’ve come across are personalised bread rolls with the guests name baked into the roll- how fabulous is that?
